About the Event
Twice a year we run a day-long fundraiser for Operation Smile, where we provide 15-minute mini sessions at a local park in exchange for a minimum donation of $30 to Operation Smile.
This year, due to COVID we have broken up our fundraiser to take 2 days (October 17th & 24th) so we can put empty spots between sessions to keep everyone safe. We will also be implementing strict regulations regarding masks, the checking in process, and props.
The Operation Smile Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises money to provide operations for children and babies around the world suffering from cleft lip and palates. The organization provides surgeries, and educational services so their work becomes self-sufficient. Fixing cleft lips and cleft palates isn’t just about looks. Many children born with this problem have a difficult time learning to feed properly, which leads to malnutrition and sometimes death. These operations help save and change lives all over the world.
Each operation costs $240, so by offering 15 minute mini-sessions for at least $30 we can raise enough money to pay for 9 operations! What you decide to donate is up to you, but we ask that it be at least $30 so we can reach our goal.
